Heart Coaster


I got a little side tracked when starting to work on the Watering Can dishcloth, and wanted to try something else first. Here is what I came up with. It's a heart coaster. Here is the pattern. Please let me know what you think of this little beauty. It was such a fast project to make, I would love to come up with some other coaster patterns.

Cast on 16
Row 1: purl
Row 2: knit
Row 3: purl
Row 4: knit
Row 5: p2, k12, p2
Row 6: knit
Row 7: p2, k3, p2, k2, p2, k3, p2
Row 8: knit
Row 9: p2, k2, p8, k2, p2
Row 10: knit
Row 11: p2, k2, p8, k2, p2
Row 12: knit
Row 13: p2, k3, p6, k3, p2
Row 14: knit
Row 15: p2, k4, p4, k4, p2
Row 16: knit
Row 17: p2, k5, p2, k5, p2
Row 18: knit
Row 19: p2, k12, p2
Row 20: knit
Row 21: purl
Row 22: knit
Row 23: purl

Very cute Janice!!! Which direction did you cast on? And, was the cast-on row counted as row 0 or row 1?

Thanks for the pattern. I did a set of coasters using the berry basket pattern, P3, K4, P3 for 5 rows, then K3, P4, K3, for the next 5 rows, then keep repeating till it is a square. with a 3 stitch border (Garter stitch)
