Stitch Markers
The other day on a knitting dishcloths group ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/addictedtoknitdishcloths_group ) someone posted about making their own stitch markers.
Here is my first attempt at one following the directions that are posted here. They will get better the more I do.

The other day I went in to JoAnn's with my coupons, and came out with two new toys! The best part is I only spent $5!
The first one is a Knifty Knitter Straw Weaver set. It's an interesting little gadget. Basically you thread yarn through the straws, then weave yarn over the straws. Slide the straws out, tie off some ends, and wa la.
I made this little bookmark for fun. I honestly don't know how much I will use this, but it is kind of fun.
The second "TOY" is the smallest of the new Knifty Knitter Long Loom series, the pink loom. For a play with the loom project I am making a purse with round bamboo handles, using Lion Brand Thick and Quick yarn. I'll post the picture when it's done. So far I like this little loom. It will come in handy.
8/20 Here is the purse I made on the little KK2 loom. I think it will get used for something such as a bag to hold clothes pins, or even those plastic bags you get at the grocery.

Summer Sun dishcloth
We got back from our trip to Chicago yesterday, so today is a lazy relax catch up on laundry kind of day. I finished up my Summer Sun dishcloth finally. It's been done for a week, but I haven't taken the time to get it off the loom. It came out really cute. What do you think? It's my first original loomed dishcloth. The pattern is posted in the file section of the YAHOO group LoomingDishcloths. Anyone is welcome to join.
